Speed Up Your Workflow with Product Templates

You can now create reusable product templates directly within the Printify Uploader tab on Prelist to save time, ensure consistency, and reduce manual work.

What is a Product Template?

A Printify template lets you pre-set your preferred product settings—like product type, colors, sizes, description, pricing, etc.—so you don’t have to re-enter them every time you upload a new product.

  • Saves time on repetitive setup

  • Ensures consistency across your listings

  • Reduces chance of errors

How to Create a Template in Printify

1. Select Your Product

In Printify, select the product & supplier combination you’d like to use for your Prelist uploads and create a new product.

2. Choose Your Variants

Select all the sizes, colors, and other options you want included in your template.

Note: You’ll need to add a design to your product in order to save it. Prelist will ignore the design, so it can be anything.

3. Update Listing Details

Set the following details you wish to reuse:

  • Tags

  • Description

  • Personalization

  • Shipping Method

  • Shipping Profile

  • Pricing

Note: Mockup selection and variant visibility settings from Printify templates won’t carry over to Prelist uploads.

4. Save the Listing

Once everything looks perfect, click Save as draft or Publish in Printify. Now this listing can be used as a template.

Adding Templates in Prelist

Step 1: Open the Prelist Uploader

Select your shop from the drop-down, then click the Add Template button.

Step 2: Select or Link Your Template

You’ll be given two options:

  • Option A: Select your listing from the dropdown if you recently created it.

  • Option B: Paste the listing’s Printify URL into the “Create from URL” field.

Once added, the template will appear in the template drop-down ready for use:

Tip: Create a different template for each product type you sell (e.g., shirts, mugs, hats) for faster uploads.
